This is the World Wide Web home page for the research group of Peter Cummings, the John R. Hall Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Vanderbilt University and in the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences Division of Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).

At ORNL, Peter Cummings is also Director of the Nanomaterials Theory Institute, part of the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences (CNMS), and Principal Scientist of the CNMS. The CNMS is the first of five Department of Energy nanoscience centers, entering full-scale operations on October 1, 2005. Currently, the CNMS has approximately 200 user projects, with almost 50 of those user projects being in the Nanomaterials Theory Institute.
